Stress free shearing and TLC go hand-in-hand
at Hilltop Alpacas

Arial is blown out and ready for shearing. Time
for a hair cut.
2)
Esther Parks gets set to begin our stress free
shearing method. Arial is on the shearing table - ready, willing
and waiting.
3)
Donna Russell holds Arial's head and talks to
her. Almost half shorn - then we roll her over and do the other
side. Cria just hangs out. Arial is very relaxed.
4)
Arial's toenails are trimmed at the same time
5)
Inoculations are also done on the shearing table.
6)
Just a little dental work - teeth in front are
filed to meet the top palate.
7)
Arial says, "Is that Me?" A wonderful blanket
of fleece - Donna is delighted. Arial's fleece is wonderful
to spin and knit.
